Today I applied Essie mink muffs on all of my nails. I applied two thin coats to get the opacity achieved above.
Then, I applied Rimmel 60 Second Vinyl Shine in Big Night Out to my ring finger nails as an accent. I'm not entirely sure if I like this or not...
I then applied the Mary Kay Signature top coat on all nails.
My Thoughts on the Products:
As far as the Essie polish, I like the longevity I achieve from it (I obviously say this from past experience wearing this product and shade), but it can be a bit difficult to apply. I find that the key is THIN coats. Without thin coats, I recieve a streaky appearence. This polish also takes a bit to dry completely, so be careful!
For the Rimmel polish, I love the fast drying quality and the opacity of the product. It only took one coat for the coverage that you see above and also in my previous Nail of the Day. However, I find that this polish chips very easily. So, if you are willing to touch up, this is an absolutely great product.
Last but not least, the Mary Kay top coat. I only used this top coat because it is the one that I had handy. I find that this is just the opposite of the Essie polish, as you need to use a lot of the product to get a full coat on your nails. Also, in past experience with this product I have found that it makes the polish peel. We will see if that happens this time. I really like the shine it attributes to the look, though.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
I was @ Ulta today and I was about to get that Essie color I will have to go back and get it because I really like it.
